If ever the dead could rise, then surely Sean
Bell would have risen from the hospital gurney to comfort his
bride-to-be as she viewed his bullet-torn body on the very day they
were to be married. Nicole Paultre was to have been escorted up the aisle in her bridal
best to join her beloved as music played and a hall packed with friends
and relatives gazed admiringly, eyes welling with happy tears..
The bitterest of tears fell as she was instead led across the emergency
room linoleum at 10 a.m. yesterday to the side of her high school
sweetheart, the one who had taken her to the prom, the one she had
cheered as he pitched 14 strikeouts in a single game for the John Adams
High baseball team, the father of their two young children.

This article intails a very horrible story about a man who was killed on his wedding day. Although a lot of people might say that the cops were racists but among the five cops that were shoting, 2 were black 2 were white while the other was hispanic. All of the shots that were fired either went into the bodies of the 2 males that was with the groom or in to the grooms body in a nearby house and near other cops that were on duty else where. These cops were dressed in normal clothes just like the 3 other guys. It has been said that the cops starting shooting without even showing their badges, asking questions or anything.
The way this was handled was incorrect and should be corrected by the law. They should be charged just as any other person would have been charged if some other five people was to do this. A demerit would work in this case, they wonded 2 guys and killed another without even any sight of a gun on the scene except for the guns that the cops had. I know that if they let this go and give the cops a slap on the hand, that would not be the end of that case, it shouldn’t be at least.
Well if this is the case of the groom getting shot in Jamaica, Queens, New York, then, i was told that is was three cops, all Caucasion. Growing up in Brooklyn, New York, I see things similar to this all the time. Maybe not to this extant, but similar. I have seen cops search and harass young black men, who are without a criminal record and doing nothing of suspicion, just for the kick of it maybe or God knows what. The sad thing about it, this police officers might not even get charged. Police brutality against unarmed minorities have happened often in the news these past years like the Amadou Diallo case. The officers in the case got a slap on the wrist and were sent free. It is just said that the NYPD doesnt learn from their past and make some actions for it to stop repeating in the future.
